Even though the terms "lesson" and "consultation" can be interchangeable, my definition of them is quite different.

Lesson:

A lesson will consist of me creating a lesson plan to teach a new topic or to improve upon a topic that has been previously learned. If you are already knowledgeable in a topic and just need help troubleshooting, a consultation is better.

 

Consultation:

A consultation can be used for many purposes, but usually it will be used to troubleshoot a specific problem or to revise the work that has been done. While in a consultation one can learn something, the focus is on helping you to improve your skill in certain topic, as opposed to me teaching it directly.
